Editorial desk
Home
Considered objects for the rooms you live in.
The Home desk covers the textiles, lighting, furnishings, and tableware that shape a household over years rather than seasons. Dinnerware, bedding, lamps, and the small ceramics that quietly accumulate over a domestic life all live here. Our reviewers favour pieces that age well, can be repaired, and don't require an apology when guests arrive.
Editorial perspective
We are sceptical of trend cycles. A bedsheet should still feel correct in its fourth year of use; a lamp should not be replaced because algorithms changed taste. We test in real rooms, not studios.
